BIOLOGY SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

REPORT EXPERIMENT
THE FUNCTION XYLEM TISSUE IN PLANT

OBJECTIVE
Student are able identify xylem tissue in plant

DEVICES AND MATERIALS
a.    Beaker
b.    Coloured Solution
c.    Stem of celery

WORK PROCEDURING
Step 1 : Place a celery stem, with its leaves intact in a beaker of coloured water as in figure.
Step 2 : Place a second stem of about the same weight, but with all its leaves removed, in another beaker of coloured water.
Step 3 : After 20 minutes, remove both stalks and cut the stems at regular intervals to see how far the coloured water had risen.
*)  The rate of transpiration is fastest where water rises the furthest. Which factor enable the water to rise the furthest?

 EXPERIMENT
The same of work proceduring

THE RESULT OF EXPERIMENT
The end result of my experiment a success, because Xylemis final form thick-walled, tubular cells and often die. The place to end such as pipeline, and the partition between the cell soluble to form a long pipeline to transport water and minerals. Tues xylem transports water and minerals absorbed by roots from the soil. They transport them to a leaf in which glucose was prepared during photosynthesis. Xylem Old wooden form and not participate in transport. In the end, the red color in water can be absorbed by roots and channeled through the stem.

CONCLUTION
Xylem tissue found in the plant timber. functions to channel waterfrom the roots towards the top of the plant. Xylem consists of the following elements,
- The element consists of the trachea tracheal cells and tubularcells tracheid a long taper, the cell wall with holes
- Xylem fibers consisting of long cells and the edges are tapered
- parenchymal timber that contains various substances such     asfood reserves, tannin and Crystals.
